Interaction Forum<->Group while writing new topic in Forum

We should find a way to connect a forum topic to a group.

At the moment if you write a topic via:  http://www.bewelcome.org/forums/new

there are just 6 groups you can choose.

As the amount of group is raising I would suggest to show first groups the member joined in a drop down list. The last entry would be "another group". After a click on this the form change(ajax) to a text field where the member can type a letter and relevant groups will be shown (like we have it now with tags) He can just choose one group (maybe later we could allow multiple group posting - but there is a spam danger)

I wouldn't make it that complicated. If you want to post in a group, just go the group and make a post from there. I think it's better to remove the group dropdown from the form in  http://www.bewelcome.org/forums/new - it's already quite long anyway.

Mmmm after a little thought I think that is a good idea!

Thanks for stating that here, Matthias. I'm also against a dropdown in post-creation-form. Just go to a group and post there. I removed the dropdown already a while ago but it seems, someone added it again. I'm proposing the status "wont fix".
