RSS-Feeds Forum should be filtered

Description

I subscribed the forum feed but now I get all post from all groups and if I try to open a thread of a group I'm not a member than i get a (not such forum thread).

I suggest:

  1. filter the forum threads of the forum overview feed(only forum threads should be shown)
  2. create a feed for every group
  3. create a "all my groups" aggregated feed
  4.  more?

Right now there is only one RSS-feed for all forumpost except non-public ones. AFTER a rewrite of forum/groups/structure RSS should be redone from sratch.

we should also analyse the usage of rss first. if no one uses it, we should drop it in favour of json

The analysis would be just a guessing: Even if people would like to use RSS on BW it's for most persons pretty useless right now. (At least Crumbking, Matthias and me are using it anyway ...).

(BTW: JSON? What do I do with it? Can my feedreader use it?)

Replying to midsch:

probably not. it's not a feed standard, but for data exchange at lower level. so if people read feeds (i personally don't), we should keep rss.
