Message compose window is hidden

Description

When you write messages to other members, the textarea you do it in extends beyond what it can - and the part that overflows is hidden, so you'll be writing text you can't see.

I have put a fix through on test, please check if that fixes the problem and let me know if I can move to alpha :)

I have done some corrections in r8874. Could somebody with IE6+7+8 check if it works, please?
