#153 closed bug (fixed)

remove TB status field (login/settings) from right column on start page after login

Reported by: philipp Owned by: micha
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.1.3
Component: BW General Keywords: easy

Description

if you go to the start page (by clicking the BW logo) after you are logged in you have a TB status field displaying your name, a link to tb settings and a link to logout in the right column.
This is not needed and confusing.

please remove

While I agree that the link to the settings (that we don't use) is not needed, I don't think it's that confusing to show that you're logged in. I will remove it all if you wish but currently think that I should just remove the link to settings..

looking at the site when I am logged in (and not the admin) I think you are right. It just looks a bit out of place when there is no profile photo (as for admin). So, keeping this and only removing the link to the settings would be fine with me.

The question is still if we want to kick this out or rather put it on every page. It doesn't mean that it has to be there while beeing logged in but it's related to this module of TB.

  • follow_up changed from test to move to alpha

The link to settings is gone on test.

An argument for showing: "logged in as": very often guest and host login at the same computer, sometimes even changing between the logins. here it could be useful to have the link.
