Description

The volunteer app: build/volunteer seems not working and files are on different places. This ticket will be about:

  • move relevant php files to "build/volunteer"
  • show something useful to our volunteers :-)

Okay somehow while working on this I thought to remove the whole build/volunteer app and only move the dashboard as entry point to build/admin.

Most of the stuff is outdated (Bevolunteer.org/forum, BV Blogs)

Okay I moved a couple of files to admin and created a temporary page which shows "get active" (not sure we want this..)

Anyway now I removed the files in build/volunteer. Seems like we are done, here, too.

I should push soon as I mixing up all the branches already ;-)

Okay just created a temporary page in build/admin. I routed www.bw.org/volunteer via routes.php to the admin controller. The page shows "get active" now. This is temporary till www.bw.org/admin works.

Than I remove the whole build/volunteer files.
http://gitorious.org/bewelcome/rox/commit/1818ed8c1ca6a0f2075197fdbe6cbe83930c4809/diffs

Before that I moved some files out of bw/templates to clean that up.

I guess the ticket tasks:

  • move relevant php files to "build/volunteer"
  • show something useful to our volunteers :-)

are done.
Let's improve the admin pages. I create new tickets for this.

I have pulled your code and now the startpage is broken :(

I see a video from vimeo and the login does not work anymore.

Taking a closer look in the html code in the browser i found this line:

<? if (isset($volunteer) && $volunteer) { ?>
        <li><a href="volunteer">Vol</a>
                    </li>
        <? } ?>
<? /*
            <div class="video-embedded">

Maybe you can have a closer look at the templates you have changed again?

Hmmmmm, maybe it's also because i use PHP 5.4.5 now.

It looks like all short open tags are ignored now, even if ... *argh* (somehow in my php.ini "short_open_tag" was disable :-/)

nervermind. everything is fine now. there is nothing to see here, please go on ;-)

are done.

I think this might need some more discussion in a wider audience.
I suggest to close this ticket for now and focus on more urgent tasks

  • Resolution set to fixed

We tested on alpha. Seems to be okay.
