#1928 new bug

Reply button missing

Description (last modified by sitatara)

In the following thread: http://www.bewelcome.org/groups/79/forum/s4708-Groups_without_admins I am missing the reply button above the list of posts (I am sorting in reverse chronological order, so I always use the button on top of the page).

The other button ("subscribe") is still there and also the reply buttons at the bottom of the page.

I checked a few other threads in the group and they all show the reply button as usual. So, I really only seem to have this problem with this one thread at the moment.

This happens when a Forum moderator tinkers with a thread. As the first and the second reply button are controlled by different code the second is always shown.

@jsfan: Could you check the'Who can reply' setting for the thread above and let me know, please?

So should we fix this now? Obviously the check for CanReply? should be added to the bottom reply button as well. In this case it will make also that button disappear so the real problem should be hidden again :)

I believe that we should change the behaviour of the button at the bottom of the page. I'm pretty sure that the thread mentioned wasn't closed for the public, so disabling replies in that case would be wrong.

@jsfan: Please correct me if necessary.

No, this thread is not closed but only group members can reply. Nobody else should see the thread, though.
