#1949 closed bug (fixed)

Can't create new FAQ entries (link shows empty page)

Reported by: shevek Owned by: shevek
Priority: blocker Milestone: 1.5
Component: BW Admin Keywords: FAQ
Cc: jsfan, sitatara

Description (last modified by shevek)

To edit the FAQ you need to know the direct link to bw/faq.php.

On this page there is a link to add a new FAQ entry to a given category. Unfortunately this is currently broken: http://localhost/bw/faq.php?action=insert&IdCategory=4

It just shows an empty page as there is a call to an undefined function in faq.php on line 61.

As a major update for the FAQ is on its way and this is blocking it I submit the fix directly: https://gitorious.org/bewelcome/rox/commit/44995877a834c1a1b0c8ae3803b4b8eca01fa3ab

Adding new FAQs works fine now.

However, every time I click on "insert new faq in this category" but cancel the action by clicking on the back button of my browser (because there is no way to cancel) a new entry is inserted in the FAQ admin overview which shows up as "[edit this new faq] new". This new entry is not shown on the website though, so it's a minor problem right now.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from testing to closed

The current code just creates a faq entry every time you click the link.

Just use it cautiously and if not set the FAQ to inactive.

We add a more useful FAQ interface later.

Closing as the described problem is fixed.
