#1998 closed new feature (fixed)

Add "Safety" as a menu item which leads to a "Safety" page

Reported by: sitatara Owned by: sitatara
Priority: major Milestone: 1.9
Component: BW Admin Keywords: safety

The safety team would like to have a page to describe safety features, give safety tips and include (or have a highlighted link to) the contact form etc.

This page should be linked in the top level menu (i.e. it should have the highest possible visibility).

What do you need from the Safety Team to set up that page? Do we need to send the content first or do we get a page that we can edit ourselves? Or something in between (e.g. we tell you the general structure and can fill it with detailed content then)?

As this ticket is controversial I suggest to remove it from the milestone.

I think not releasing it at all is the worst possible option. My suggestion: We put this either into the "About" menu (not my favorite - I don't think it fits there at all) or in the "My account" menu (called "My safety") for now and then continue our discussion. This way, the pages are at least accessible.

+1 for "my account/my safety"

I didn't think about people who aren't logged in when making this suggestion. My account > My safety is not the right place because you need to log in to see it. Prospective members should be able to access these pages too. Also, members should have the fastest possible access in case of negative experiences. They should not have to log in to find safety related information.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from testing to closed

While the positioning of the link to the pages is controversial the pages itself aren't. Last changes should keep the menu from breaking therefore I keep it in the release.

As the menu is shown and the pages exist I close the ticket as fixed.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
