About the "New" message link on menu page

Reported by: jeanyves Owned by: steinwinde
Priority: major Milestone: 0.1-outreach-release
Component: BV Forum Keywords: messages not read

Description

I think this "New" message link should be :

1) a My Messages link if they no unread message

2) a New Messages (X) if they are new unread message (X) being the number of unread message

Remember that OldBw? provide a way to see if they are not yet read messages, this facility, IMHO is to keep

Hopefully fixed this with revision 3375. Please check carefully before moving to alpha! Also:

  • The old code word from the word table 'MainPageNewMessages?' includes an integer now, indicating the number of unread messages!

Introduce both changes to the word table, before moving to alpha resp. live!

People (Jean-Yves) see more "new" messages than they actually have. At least drafts shouldn't be counted as messages, so I have to correct my bugfix.

Last problems with the number (being too big) fixed by r3391. This bugfix has been moved to alpha. Thanks Jean-Yves for finding out, Micha for support and alpha!
