  • Owner set to jeanyves

I have start to work on it.

I added the function ServerToLocalDateTime?() which to be used at display. The argument is to be a UNIX_TIMESTAMP

It will work with the preference LocalTime?

Choose your time zone

  • No
  • Yes

Choose your the city which is in the same TimeZone as yours

What does that mean? This is a strange wording. Which city should I choose?

if you look to you will see that there is a dropdown with a list cities for local time. It has not yet been programmed in the rox version

The list is an association cities(or area) + offset in second with the server time

For Los Angeles it is -28000 seconds For London 0 seconds For Paris/Berlin? +3600 seconds For Tehran etc

In addition the routine also manage daylight saving depending on the choice of user (its another preference).

  • Milestone changed from unassigned to new design bugfixing

I changed to Berlin with the old pref. link. I tested again in forum but still one hour diffrence between local time and forum time.

If this works we should integrate this into rox preference!

@Manuel did you also set up properly your daylight saving preference ?

comment:7 Changed 10 years ago by crumbking

hey jeanyves,

I was trying again with a forum post and now it shows the right time. I guess I forgot to logout after the change. (is there no was to change time directly after pref. submit?)

So only task left here: Integrate it into the new preferences...
