Description
Currently the forum provides structuring based on location and tags. More info on ForumImprovements
We need one additional way, lets call it category.
- Categories should provide a fixed structure not modifiable by the user himself.
- It should allow subcategories.
- A post should only be in one category only.
- a category could contain posts and subcategories
- categories should be displayed or hidden from the forum front page
Examples:
- groups > Spain > Barcelona
- groups > volunteers
- feature improvements > membersearch

I think this ticket is not needed. Categories and subcategories already exist in our forum. We have to define them though. On test.bewelcome.org no category is defined. I propose to work on a admin-interface where we can add, edit, delete categories and tags from a webinterface without using phpmyadmin or such.
Have to correct myself: We have "subboards" but no subcategories but actually it should be easy to add this functionality.
