    v6 v7
3333The idea is to have both js and css. This way, people with older browser that don't support CSS dropdowns still have the javascript, while people with js deactivated on newer browsers still have the CSS. Only old browser + javascript deactivated will suffer from not seeing the beautiful dropdown, and for these we provide slower alternative navigation paths. This is the usual way these dropdowns are used on other sites. -- lemonhead

     35Example:
36 * GMX (mail provider) needs javascript enabled for drop menus to work.
     37 * pure css-based menus don't work with IE6.
38 * http://rusrestaurant.com/tests/menu/8a.html or http://rusrestaurant.com/tests/menu/8.html work with or without javascript enabled, and they still should work in IE6 !
